I have
been practicing acupuncture for 22
years.
I
became
interested
in Chinese Medicine because
although I always wanted to help people, I recognized that conventional
medicine rarely addressed the underlying causes of disease, but instead
treated the superficial symptoms. Furthermore, many pharmaceuticals
have severe side effects. What I discovered is that Chinese medicine
helps to bring the body back into its natural state of harmony and
balance, which is a disease-free state. I studied Traditional Chinese
Medicine at the San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine and am licensed by the state of California. I also hold a MA
degree in human psychophysiology from Minnesota State University.
I
support
women
in their efforts to have optimal
health. My practice is different, in that although it is soundly
grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I use a multidisciplinary
approach. By combining acupuncture, Chinese herbs and nutritional
therapies I help to bring the body back into balance and promote
dramatic healing.
My
clinic
is
very warm and inviting, and my
treatments are very gentle. Many patients find my treatments so
relaxing that they actually fall asleep on the treatment table!
